1、 Basic model
The basic model of a synchronous belt usually consists of the following parts:
- The prefix represents the type of synchronous belt:
HTD type: Arc synchronous belt
STD type: curved synchronous belt
RPP type: Arc toothed synchronous belt - The number represents the number of teeth, which is the number of tooth pitches per inch.
- The suffix represents the length of the band. For example, HTD-5M-525 represents an HTD type synchronous belt with a width of 5mm and a length of 525mm.
2、 Width
The width of a synchronous belt is generally divided into the following levels: - Light load type: synchronous belt with a width of less than 9.5mm, suitable for transmission systems with light loads.
- Standard type: A synchronous belt with a width of 9.5mm to 25.4mm, suitable for most transmission systems.
- Heavy load type: synchronous belt with a width of 25.4mm or more, suitable for transmission systems with large loads.
3、 Tooth pitch
The tooth pitch of the synchronous belt represents the number of teeth per inch. The common types of tooth pitch are as follows: - T-type: usually used in situations where the transmission center distance is small, with a tooth pitch of 2.29mm.
- AT type: suitable for situations with small transmission center distance, with a tooth pitch of 2.5mm.
- HTD type: suitable for occasions with high requirements for transmission accuracy, with a tooth pitch of 3mm to 14mm.
- STD type: suitable for high-speed transmission and low-power transmission, with a tooth pitch of 2.5mm to 5mm.
4、 Materials
The materials of synchronous belts are mainly divided into the following types: - Rubber: Suitable for occasions with low transmission power and high requirements, such as automotive engines.
- Polyurethane: Suitable for occasions with high transmission power and requirements, such as industrial robots.
- Fiberglass: suitable for high-temperature and high-strength transmission applications.
4、 Strength
The strength of synchronous belts usually has the following standards: - Normal strength: suitable for situations with low transmission power.
- High strength: suitable for situations with high transmission power.
- Ultra high strength: suitable for situations with extremely high power transmission or long transmission distances.
In a word, for different transmission systems, it is necessary to select the synchronous belt with appropriate model, width, tooth pitch, material and strength to ensure the normal operation and stability of the transmission system.
